Terms and Conditions
Boring, aren't they! But please do read them to avoid any misunderstandings.
Deposits and balance payments
If you are offered a place, you need to pay a deposit of £200 to secure it. The balance should be paid no later than 4 weeks before the course start date. If you are enrolling with less than 4 weeks before the start date, this means the whole fee will be due.
The deposit relates to your chosen course only
Deposits are valid for the course you select and are non-refundable and non-transferable - you cannot transfer to another date or to another person
Fees are not refundable - you may wish to investigate insurance
Fees (deposit and balance) are non-refundable and non-transferable (you cannot transfer to another or to another person), so please be sure that you are committed to taking the course and have freed up the necessary time. You may wish to investigate insurance cover in case you have to cancel or leave the course early in case of, for example, illness or serious illness or death of a close relative.
What happens if we cancel or postpone a course?
If we cancel a course, you can apply fees paid to another course or get a full refund.
We reserve the right to postpone the start date of part-time courses by up to 3 weeks. No refunds will be given in such cases. Please make sure, when applying for part-time courses, that you have the necessary flexibility - clearly a course that starts late will finish late.
If we cancel a course our liability will be limited to refund of the course fees. We cannot be held liable for loss in relation to ancillary costs, such as transport booked. Again, you may wish to arrange insurance to cover this eventuality. We will not normally cancel courses with less than 2 weeks prior to the course start date.
Payment methods and VAT
Our invoice will show you how to pay. The payment options are:
- Transfer to our account (account details shown on our invoice). If you are making an international bank transfer, we need to receive the full amount due, so please ensure you pay both sending and receiving banks' charges
- Card - please call us to make card payments
VAT is included in the price of the course and the relevant amount will be shown on your invoice.
The moderation fee
Towards the end of the course, your moderation fee will fall due. This must be paid in full before your moderation can go ahead. The fee is currently £145.
Selection criteria, assessment and grades
English Naturally cannot enter into correspondence or discussion concerning the reasons for an interview or a place on a course not having been offered.
All tutors on the Cert TESOL collaborate on the internal assessments and decisions are unanimous.
In all matters relating to selection and assessment the decision of the Director of Studies is final.
Care of belongings
We use various venues for teaching and it is not possible to ensure total security. Please look after your belongings - we cannot be held responsible for any loss.
Behaviour and physical and/or psychological/attitudinal issues
Trainees are expected to behave in a respectful way to course-mates and any other people they come into contact with as part of the course (for example, students). We will not tolerate inappropriate behaviour and, following a verbal warning, we will give you written notice to leave the course if the issues continue. Such instances are of course rare. You must make us aware when applying if there is anything we should know about you that could affect your ability to be successful on the course, such as physical disabilities or psychological problems. Again, if we have not been advised of problems (if we are, we will work with you to overcome them), we may be forced to ask you to leave the course, with no refund due.
Money-back guarantee
We are very careful in our screening of applicants and therefore, subject to the conditions set out below, we will refund your fees in full if you do not pass the course and gain your CertTESOL.
- You must attend 95% of sessions as a minimum
- You must complete assignments set by the deadline given
- You must attend the moderation
