Host family or self-catering?
We can organise your accommodation or you can organise your own.
Our host families
Our accommodation is with carefully-checked, friendly local host families. You will get your own bedroom, social time with your hosts, breakfast and dinner. You can buy your own lunch in town at one of the many cafés and shops.
If you are ok to share the family bathroom, choose Standard accommodation. If you’d like your own bathroom, select Prestige. Both options are very good value compared to guest house/hotel accommodation.
Self-catering
If you want to organise your own accommodation, you will find Airbnb places, although they tend to be expensive.
If you are staying for a long period, you could get host family accommodation to start and then look for a “house-share” with local students or young workers. We will help you find the best websites and apps.
Social/exploring the area
Every Wednesday evening we organise a social evening, so that all of our students can get together. One of our teachers will organise this and join you.
When the school is busy, we also organise excursions to places that are not so easy to visit by public transport. We’ll take you by coach or minibus to visit places like Stonehenge, the New Forest National Park, or the famous Jurassic Coast. These trips are optional. When the school is not busy, we can organise tailored trips with a teacher by car. All prices dependent on destination.
The area is excellent for walking/hiking, cycling/mountain-biking and there are great places for running.
We are near the coast, so you can also get involved in sailing, kite-surfing, paddle-boarding.

We have created our own series of out-and-about guides for self-guided discovery of the local area on foot and by public transport.
